Neck lift incisions are typically made within the hairline near the ears extending to the back of the head. Scarring is thus well-hidden within the contours of the scalp. Scar creams can be used after surgery to reduce the appearance of your incisions, but your scars will usually become unnoticeable over time. You can also use makeup to hide your scars until they have faded.
Neck lift surgery typically takes 2-3 hours. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia or IV sedation, so you will need someone to drive you home once you are released.
