What can I expect during the NanoLaserPeel procedure?

We will start with a consultation to discuss your skin concerns and aesthetic goals. We will examine your skin and discuss the details of your Nano Laser Peel procedure, including which areas you would like to treat.

Once you are ready, you will receive your NanoLaserPeel in one of our comfortable, private rooms. First, your skin will be cleansed and any toxins, lotions or makeup will be fully removed. We will then provide safety shields to protect your eyes. While most patients find the technique to be pain-free, a topical anesthetic may be applied if it is needed or if the laser treatment is intended to be deeper.The Nano Laser Peel handpiece will then be held above the skin as the laser beam moves across the treatment area. The procedure usually takes less than 30 minutes.

Recovery

Nano Laser Peel requires minimal recovery when compared to traditional chemical peels or other harsher treatment methods. Your skin will dry and then slough away, revealing the fresh layer of skin below. Just after the treatment is completed, you will notice a “frosty” look to the skin. This frosty appearance is the dead, dehydrated top layer of skin that will peel away over the next few days.

As the old skin peels away, the new skin below will appear mildly to moderately red. You can expect to have some tenderness for several days. You will also be sensitive to the sun, so be sure to avoid direct exposure to sunlight until you are fully healed. In general, we recommend using a daily sunscreen or lotion with a strong SPF to protect your skin from the damaging rays of the sun.

In 3-5 days, you will notice a tighter, more youthful appearance in the treated areas and fresh, rejuvenated skin. The fast healing time is one of the many benefits of this popular procedure.
