Generally speaking, a mini facelift takes only an hour to perform, but it can take longer depending on the specifications of the treatment. The details of the treatment will be discussed during the private consultation.
Following the procedure, patients will need to have someone drive them home. The home should also be prepared for the recovery process, as patients will need much rest and relaxation for the first few days.
Patients should avoid all exercise and make sure to keep their heads elevated (both while awake and asleep). The face tends to remain swollen for up to two weeks following the procedure.
After the procedure, patients may develop conditions such as numbness, swelling, tingling, itching, discoloration, bumpiness, hardness, crusting, tightness, and redness around the treatment sites. These are temporary and will fade away on their own over time.
The advantage of the mini facelift is that incisions are smaller, meaning that the scars will also be smaller. Furthermore, the incisions are made in areas that will ensure the scars are obscured and not visible. Overall, a mini facelift is known for producing aesthetically pleasing results that leave patients looking and feeling great.
Insurance plans do not cover cosmetic procedures. As such, a mini facelift will not be covered.
