Dr. Fereshteh Azad is a board certified and fellowship trained Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, eyebrows, tear duct system, and face. She combines meticulous surgical technique with an artistic eye to deliver natural, personalized results.

Meet Dr. Azad
Dr. Azad brings a rich academic and clinical background to her practice. After moving from Vancouver to Toronto for her undergraduate studies in neuroscience, she graduated with High Distinction from the University of Toronto, maintaining a top academic standing and earning placement on the Dean’s List each year. Her undergraduate thesis work focused on stem cell regeneration and functional neuroimaging. She went on to complete a Master of Science in Global Health at McMaster University, conducting international research at Manipal University in India. She received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for her dedication to compassionate care. Her academic achievements in medical school were recognized with multiple honors and endowed Scholarship in Ophthalmology. Dr. Azad completed her ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit. She further pursued advanced fellowship training in Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
A dedicated researcher and educator, Dr. Azad has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American Journal of Ophthalmology, Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology, Eplasty, and BMJ Case Reports. She has presented her research at major national meetings including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Women in Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Ophthalmic Trauma.
